Yesterday I went to see The Bourne Identity with some friends from work. It was alright. I was especially surprised to see Franka Potente (Matt Damon's co-star) speaking English. I've only seen her in German movies, including one of my favorites, Run Lola Run. Darren saw the movie earlier, but he didn't like it as much. He made the mistake of reading the book before seeing the movie. Of course it's nothing like the book.
I actually didn't have to work today. I usually schedule to work every day (except Sunday) because I'm a loser and would have nothing else to do otherwise. If I'm going to sit around I might as well make some money doing it. However, all the shifts were taken today, so I had no choice but to have a day off. I decided to go see Lilo and Stitch since I had the time. I was intent on going alone because I didn't think I could get anyone to see a cartoon with me. The only person I've ever been able to convince to see cartoon movies with me is Susan, and that's because she loves them as much as I do. However, I called Nick and he was excited to go.
The movie was excellent. The characters were interesting and the art was beautiful (especially the watercolor backgrounds). It was also extremely funny. It has to be one of the funniest movies Disney has ever made, animated or live action. We had a great time.
Afterwards Nick offered to buy me an ice cream cone. I was going to say no, but who can pass up free sweets? I was able to get butter pecan, which is my favorite ice cream. It spoiled my dinner, but it was delicious.
