A few days ago I saw something in WalMart that really ticked me off. Christmas isn't until Wednesday and they already had an aisle of Valentine's candy. Valentine's candy!!! I'm sick of having my holidays rushed in the name of capitalism. We barely had Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving might as well be rechristened "Pre-Christmas." How far are they going to take this? Next thing you know, they'll be selling Halloween costumes right after Independence Day. It's ridiculous.

Tonight my mom and I are going to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I'm pretty excited because I'm sure it will be fantastic. The best thing is I'll have free admission. My friends bought the fancy five-disc set of the first Rings for my birthday and it included movie cash for Two Towers. Things just seem so much better when they're free.
